KMS-70 system balustrades with aluminum structure

Pursuant to the Regulation of the Minister of Development, Labor and Technology of December 4, 2020, the obligation to have a National Technical Assessment for balustrades came into force from January 1, 2022. We are pleased to announce that the KMS-70 balustrade system has a National Technical Assessment. When ordering our system, you can be sure that it complies with applicable regulations.

Implementation Process

At the very beginning, we conduct a detailed analysis of the client’s needs and requirements. Based on this, our team creates a dedicated project.

Measurement by laser scanning using Trimble® X7 and Leica 3D Disto rangefinder.

Quality control at every stage of production is our priority. Thanks to this, we can be sure that each balustrade will meet the highest expectations.

Professional installation is crucial to guarantee the long life and safety of the balustrade. That’s why our assembly team approaches this task with the highest precision.

We also offer a comprehensive maintenance package, which includes both regular inspections and servicing of any faults.

General description of the balustrade system:

The KMS-70 system is a set of elements for making aluminum balustrades with fillings: glass, HPL boards, perforated sheets, aluminum balusters, and welded meshes.

The system is manufactured by KMS, ul. Legnicka 46a, 53-674 Wrocław.

The KMS-70 set of elements can be used to make horizontal balustrades used on balconies, loggias, terraces, driveways, porches, cloisters, attics, roof edges, stairs, ramps and other surfaces where protection against falling is required.

Purpose, scope and conditions of use:

Purpose, scope and conditions of use.

The balustrades of the KMS-70 system are designed to protect against the risk of falling of a person standing or moving on the surface protected by the balustrade.

Balustrades can be used to protect balconies, loggias, terraces, driveways, porches, cloisters, attics, roof edges, stairs and ramps in residential buildings, collective residences, office buildings, commercial buildings, hospitals, social welfare homes and public utility facilities to the extent resulting from Regulation of the Minister of Infrastructure of April 12, 2002 on the technical conditions to be met by buildings and their location (Journal of Laws No. 75 of 2002, item 690, as amended). KMS-70 balustrades can be used to protect surfaces classified into the following use categories: A, B, C1-C4 or D according to Table 6.1 – use categories from the PN-EN 1991-1-1:2004 standard, for which the value of linear horizontal loads qk is not greater than 1 kN/m.
The substrate to which the system fasteners are attached should have a compressive strength not less than C20/25 class concrete according to the PN-EN 206:2014-04 standard.

Due to the requirements regarding corrosion resistance, KMS-70 system balustrades should be used
in environments with atmospheric corrosivity categories C1, C2, C3 according to PN-EN ISO 12944-2:2001. KMS-70 system balustrades can be used in environments with corrosivity category C4 according to PN-EN ISO 12944-2:2001, provided that the elements are adequately protected against environmental influences.

The use of KMS-70 system balustrades should be in accordance with the technical design developed for a specific facility, taking into account:

provisions contained in the technical catalog of the KMS-70 balustrade system
applicable technical and construction standards and regulations, in particular the regulations of the Minister of Infrastructure
of April 12, 2002 on the technical conditions to be met by buildings and their location
(Journal of Laws No. 75 of 2002, item 690, as amended).
provisions of the ITB Technical Assessment
